Many in Andhra Pradesh might not know much about actress Anjali.

She basically hails from a village near Rajahmundry and later acted in few Telugu film like 'Photo'.

However she later went to Kollywood and some of her films were stupendous hits there like 'Angadi Theru' (which is being dubbed into Telugu as Shop pin Mall).

Today she was shooting for a movie titled 'Thambi Vettothi Sundaram' in Kanyakumari.

The movie is based on a true story in which a group of people massacre another set of people.

While the shooting is going on, a gang of 40 men came there with sickles, knives etc and threatened to kill the film unit members including the heroine!

Alarmed by this the actress long with few other persons escaped by a car and went to the nearest airport and took the flight to Chennai!

Later speaking to the media, Anjali said that one person threw a knife at her, but missed the mark.
