First of all, you have an approved I797 that already gives your i94 validity for 3 years.. now you are going to enter with a visa with validity till feb 2026 which will overwrite your i94 from 2029 to feb 2026… CBP fixes issues with wrong entries for human errors that the CBP officers made.. they don’t update if you didn’t provide an original document at the port of entry.. you can carry a copy of I797 instead of the original.. but it is at the discretion of the officer whether to accept it or not… you may get lucky but this is not the right time to take that kind of a risk.. if your I797 is already approved, is there any urgency that you have to travel before you receive it?
