Now it is December, and my name is on the layoff list. When I asked my manager why, he said my lead gave the appraisal and mentioned that my performance was not that great. It feels like he is trying to get rid of me now that his wife is back from India. I honestly do not know what to do anymore..he never went to India after our shopping and I believe he returned all the stuff we bought and now instincts says he justed used me for x.. now am scared of loosing my job. suggest me what do to

Things were fine until October-Novemb 6/7 when he suddenly took one week off and stopped responding to my messages. My work was pending, and because of the stress, I also took a week off to avoid the tension. My manager then messaged me saying I had to come back because of deadlines. When I returned to work, he told me to finish everything by the end of the week. I had no option, so I took my laptop and went to my team lead's place to get the work done and also to understand why he was not responding at all. I was already very upset and knocked on his door. A woman opened it, and I was shocked. She asked who I was, and I said I was his colleague. She welcomed me inside, introduced herself as his wife, ofere me to sit imon the couch in living room. When she told him, "Your colleague is here with her laptop," he came out of the bedroom. It was an extremely awkward moment the room is silent and He spent the entire evening helping me finish the work, pushed my code, and sent it to QA.
