Since race is narrowed between him and Bhatti Vikramarka, Revanth is trying hard to project himself as the CM candidate. Other than him being a 'reddi' leader and being backed by Baboru, he doesn't have support from core Congress loyalists. He has good oratory skills and did verbally attack Dora and his supporters strongly, but he didn't have any other experience other being a two time MLA. 

Bhatti Vikramarka on the other hand is a hattrick MLA, served as chief whip and deputy speaker in the past and is the CLP leader and has his entire career in Congress along side his brothers. He has better loyalty to Congress. He wants to be  the first SC chief minister of Telangana, a feat only Damodaram Sanjeeviah achieved in United Andhra Pradesh.

It needs to be seen how High command acts. Thus far, Congress never had PCC and CM awarded to the same person, as CLP leader becomes the Chief Minister.
