Go to Begumbazaar / Feelkhana behind Osmania Hospital. You will get plenty of choices, and they are sold as per Kg basis. Irrespective of the item, they sell for weight / KG basis.

What is the cost of 1 kg brass?

The current brass price is Rs. 300-Rs. 319 per kg

 

So you may be looking for around 300-500 max per kg. also depends on how good you negotiate and paying by cash gets more discount generally.
