Solo Kashmir ruling muslim population is different from India ruling Kashmir

The people wanted to join Pakistan and the king wanted to join India.. Initially he wanted to stay independent but then realized after a long delay that it won’t work...

First thing, there's nothing like people wanted to do... because none of the other princely states asked for any people vote. It's yes or no

Secondly, no one asked for Pakistan but independent Kashmir.

Gilgit, Baltistan, Kashmir (now split between India and Pakistan) wanted to join Pakistan - as they are Muslim majority regions. Jammu and Ladakh wanted to join India. All these 5 regions were all ruled by a Hindu king, Hari Singh before independence. Hari Singh wanted Kashmir to become an independent country. 

If all Kashmiris really wanted to stay independent, even people in Gilgit-Baltistan and POK would have revolted against Pakistan..

True, one of the reasons why Nehru was hesitant to conquer the rest. The region of skardu and further west is muslim majority and the local leaders were not supportive to join India. One would think same is applicable to Srinagar valley, but it is not the same before 1990 Kashmir massacre. Srinagar used to have more hindus.

Aa small part of Kashmir thiskunnanduke, 75 years nunchi edo oka issue nadustondi.. lakhs of people died including soldiers.. lakhs of crores of money spent on security, no peace of mind to rulers, just to defend that piece of land.. inkaa vere part ni laakkunte, we will end up sacrificing even more people and money to defend that..
