Take a term insurance and invest rest of money in NIFTY50 or other india indexes if you want to invest in india. life insurance linked investment plans lo expenses very high. **Even for non citizens investment in india ULIP or indexes make tax filing complicated. If you invest 14000 per month for 12 years in nifty50 with cagr of 13% you get 50lakhs in 12years only not 18. insurance linked investments are not a great choice Quote

I can't recommend exactly what policy to recommend but Do not look insurance as an investment policy , the rate of returns will be much less than any index fund or Mutual funds In India do not choose private insurers because LIC has a good track record and government backup Quote
pavone Posted December 23, 2023 Report Posted December 23, 2023 Insurance is not an investment but it solves other issues in a financial portfolio. Also, I dont know what your goals and other assets are. US lo aithe I posted some videos on my website. https://www.edgefinancials.com/IUL-Education/ Cash growth in cash value life insurance plans defintely wont beat index funds but returns are not the only thing to always look at. Fees are comparable to mutual funds in long term. Tax increase risk, market risk, longevity risk and liquidity are some of the reasons to diversify into different financial vehicles. Quote
