I am amused by janalu definition of “commercial” cinema vs “vulgar” cinema

One director gets criticized by janalu for putting provocative sexual scenes involving main character and his mistress? Janalu considers dialogues about changing pads, intercourse per week, and underwear as “vulgar”. 

Razamalli uses double meaning dialogues, navel fetish, and item songs to convey perversion. His guru, KRR thatha, was also notorious for this perversion. But janalu calls both them "Telugu cinema ratnalu". Sandranna even appointed same thatha as TTD chairman.

Guntur Mirchi director already adding staring at girl navels in next Sankranti festival hit. Last film, he replaced navel with girl legs.

Its not vulgar.. its just self indulgent in the worst direction.

rajamouli and KRR images on screen are purely aesthetic tools and have no connection to the story.

Vanga's images try to build the character through those images and scenes. Its part of the story that the director is trying to tetll.

that's why some people can find it offensive. and actually Vanga's characters are disgusting assholes.. and Vanga defends them, which makes it worse.

Rajamouli, KRR don't own their creation to the level Vanga does.. So the hate on Vanga is natural and in some cases even justified.

If only Vanga was more edgy, then the hate would have some meaning. Sadly Vanga has traditional opinions on masculinity. He's a boring that way. I'd create a much bettter and a more authentic offensive asshole than Vanga ever can, because I'm not tied by the vagaries of stupid tradition.

Aesthetic or not, janalu have their double standards on what is family appropriate vs offensive smut.

Sandranna even gave one of those “family friendly” directors the TTD chairman post.
