All India Pregnant Job service: Indian men conned by 'impregnating women' scam - BBC News

 

 

To put it simply this is how the scam works -you are promised a lot of money for getting a woman pregnant.  But first you have to pay some money as "deposit", "GST" etc., and of course once the victim is squeezed out - the job offer disappears.

While it is easy to mock the victims - when I read the article quite a few of the men were daily wage laborers who are not educated or aware of the sophistication behind the scams - and more importantly are desperate for money to help their family.
