Are we in a recession?

Stock market all time highs. Retail sales up.

Unemployment all time low. Only IT market may be weak. House prices up.

Companies with p/e > 40 trading all time highs.

Asalu emi jaruguthindhi?

Some cash sitting on the side. Not sure it is time to invest. Tech companies look to be too much overvalued with P/E > 40. Generally they say stock market is an indication of 6 months to 1 year ahead. Then why is the stock market trading all time high if a recession is expected in an year?

We are living in high inflation/income. So you need two jobs to survive ..one won't enough..and since finding second job or high paid job is high ..we are in recession to catch up inflation with enough income

I can confirm confidently sales have slowed down in Pharma, Medical Devices, Bio-Tech companies. Also all the stocks that went up during covid.

Market makers make money (duh they need to pay bonus for everyone) only by bringing down stocks and going up. Right now I think money is moving into other sectors.

March 2023 Tech stocks were lowest in multi yrs. Nothing happened in 6 months that they had to go up this much. In fact they did not deserve to go down that much.

So look at Pharma and Bio-tech sector. A lot of stocks are at attractive levels. Look into them. I am thinking to move my money in 401k in Pharma funds. Look at PFE. It does not deserve to go down to 27 levels. Same with ILMN and a lot of other stocks in this sector.

Look into these.
