DMK is hard to eradicate. They are surprisingly resilient.

Nehru accusing them of sedition, Indiramma emergency, MGR domination in 1980s, 1989 governor dismisses them, LTTE support accusations post-Rajiv hatya, Amma popularity, land grabbing charges, 2G scam accusations, and Kalaignar death. 

They went through it all and are still surviving.
