dasari4kntr Posted February 4, 2024 Report Posted February 4, 2024 finally started watching...Oppenheimer (by nolan)... (not finished yet..stuck with this scene...) there is a scene.. Quote Oppenheimer, in conversation with Jean Tatlock, claims to have read all three volumes of Karl Marx' "Das Kapital" (a.k.a "Capital"). He then summarizes the philosophy as "Ownership is theft" which Tatlock corrects as "Property is theft". it got my attention...and researched more.. found some thing like this.. "property is theft"... is a political and philosophical phrase...used by some anarchists during french revolution... now researching more..why nolan put a scene with comparison property vs ownership..? AFAIK (researched..).. property means...having legal and responsbile ownership (for your pleasure...) which is produced/made by someone or some group.. ownership means...feeling of "its mine"...you dont acknowledge who created it or how you got it...just pure evil pleasure like you can do anything becasue its completely yours... now another big question is...we all have iPhones or smart cars like tesla..etc those are ours just properties just to use it?...or do we have complete ownership to do anything...including break it open..?
