Below profile ne lepesaru ante.. ika mana normal tech future ento..

After nearly 4 years at Tesla, Friday was my last day as part of their layoffs. I look back fondly at all the huge accomplishments I made there
* chartered the Tesla Compute Platform team and developed Teslas internal cloud platform
* provisioned and managed thousands of servers across multiples availability zones and regions
* lead a team of talented engineers to build out TCP (what an amazing opportunity)
* deployed the Dojo supercomputer using our stack
* built a kubernetes distrobution for TCP
* joined a distributed systems team and helped develop a low latency internal storage system
* made a ton of lasting friendships that will continue long past this rough day for us all

Software job or any biz lifelong guarantee kaadhu ga aa maatakosthe life ke guarantee ledhu ga. Better chill at&t care in any job. Follow that and don't attach to any job. May be 5% workolihs max antha pay bills ne thappadu ani. Savings imp min 3 months.

if you have a huge scale aws costs are super high. facebook, google etc may have better scale and tools than aws. maa tumri company also realized hidden costs in aws. first aws ki vellaru, they are cutting everything down and going back on premise - own data centers

Cost I think will be same

onprem or own cloud= building + watchman+ current bill+ internet bill+ hardware + software license + admin salary+ storage team+ upgrade software and hardware teams+ software security cost+employees

aws= aws team salary +aws cost

at the end it’s minimal savings either way

ee tsla gaadu own cloud petti em peektadu?

middle ground vundii gaa;

you have your infra as in servers and other stuff of your own; set in co-hosting space. so far working fine for our company post pandemic. office space motham teesi dobbadu; fully remote.

we have 4 or 5 data centers. there is an emphasis on improving developer experience . we have in house kubernetes, multiple platforms offering virtual machine's, cloudfoundry . db as a service - offering multiple db's - postgres, mongodb etc. . data  platforms offering lot of things including presto clusters . maa chinna group ~ 500-600 people ke we were paying a lot for AWS RDS. upper management wants to move out of public cloud  unless it is something we absolutely need.

This will be the norm down the lane. Every company is now realizing the cloud costs are getting ridiculous.

he expanded too fast. now he is cutting workforce. nothing wrong with it when sales are not good. he has to answer to inverstors. see his hiring over years in comparision

I know not many will care but add environmental costs for running cloud data center...  be it electricity consumption , water usage and what not..
