She is over 60 now and gets Medicare (100% covered for all medical needs), also some financial assistance (not much but a very small amount). The most important thing here is medical coverage, especially for some treatments. India lo medical care is a large scale mafia and they just do unnecessary procedures to rip you off, way before off to get treatment done in USA if one have adequate medical coverage.

We should not add them as dependents in taxes . If we add them as dependents on our taxes, they won’t be eligible for any benefits or medical coverage as they count your income for benefits calculations and your income will be way higher for them to get any assistance.
