Nope the GOVT did not failed.. I completely disagree with this it was the people.

I can show 1000's of example between 1980-2000 where most people came out from GOVT colleges with quality education. As there are limited number of seats people started looking into Private colleges for studies.

Limited vacharu because limited seeked it, and there was no alternative. Those people would have shined anyhow. now everyone seeks it even if it doesn't help in anyway.  Why did the quality go down, isn't govt responsible here? And quality is not the issue, issue is with supply and demand, disconnect with real life and what is being taught. All these are controlled by govt. There needs to be reform on what people need to be educated on.

Govt responsibility ends as soon as people do not show interest on GOVT schools .. People stopped worrying about it .

You are saying   quality is not the issue, issue is with supply and demand

I would say quality is the biggest issue. Now days people are getting 100 marks for telugu , english, Hindi, science and SS. check what was the average marks for clever students from 1980 to 2000's. you can see difference.

I can quote umber of instances where a guy who got 100% in telugu can not even write or read telugu with out error.

You are completely missing the point, there's no use of getting 100 marks or 0 marks in any subject in real life is my point. That's the disconnect. Govt is setting the standard of useless education.

And no people didn't simply lose interest, govt didn't have any accountability which is norm for any govt run thing. You can never fix it. We cry about govt corruption and incompetence daily but want govt control in everything.

Can you cite an example where you feel the standards are less w.r.t Education .. ?

Take 4 years of btech, I can tell you it doesn't help 1% in real life to get a job or create a job. But everyone has to write essays to get through it. Why?

When did govt sit down with industries and introduce something that'll help them get talent? So much emphasis on useless theory and writing 100s of useless stuff.

Where is the emphasis on r&d?

Take a primary school where the teachers have no teaching ability or is interested to teach, but govt mandates the kids to force through it. Danikante vadu bayata tirigitge he'll get important life lessons.

Applicability of real life .. of course it is applicable based on what you study. I will take CIVL as this is where i am doing business currently.

Consider these real-world applications,

Road Construction, Dam Construction, Bridge Building, Skyscraper Construction, Water Treatment Plants, Railway Systems, Airports, Coastal Engineering, Underground Structures, Wastewater Management, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Earthquake Engineering.

I always had shortage of Quality Civil Engineer as most of them are moving to IT rather than into the above fields. I always tell people to move into the above fields and looks for IT side as well where you can apply your education real time.

Yes ... somewhat sensible post from you. Mana Yesu Reddy ki ee vishayam meeru yendhuku cheppaleedhu 2019-24?

By any metrics, unemployment is the biggest pandemic India is facing. Our family friend working as Head of BPO for a medium sized firm received 10,000 Graduate applications for 15 Night-shift jobs.

inka antha kanna yeemi cheppanu..

Get to reality mate. Everyone is a joker. Those in power always put down others.

On top of that, we have Bengali/UP/Bihari manual work force ready to work for peanuts in scorching sunlight outplacing our local telugu-speaking labour

As automation increases even construction industry looking for skills like quality electricians and quality carpenters and other quality things
