US lo CBP does not check anything when you are leaving US.

Are you approved ? If not email them ?

Did it in Hyd Airport during my Aug trip. 2 min pani anna, photo and fingerprints. That’s it. The counter is near departure immigration. Lot of officers don’t know so you will have to ask around. Okka officer ki telidu ante I asked for his manager and luckily he called and his supervisor knew abt this and told me that counter is near departure immigration. 
Hyd lo maa neighbor emo Shamshabad lo FRRO office ki elli fingerprinting/photo chesadu. He also said it was two min in that office.

Similar to UK's e-gates anta. Easy peasy entry aithe. Mumbai/Delhi lo exit immigration ki saavali line lo, this helps a lot.
