Evaru chepparu bro neeku. 250 Grams chicken is needed everyday to meet your protein requirement That's around the average meat consumption in developed countries. You don't need to consume that much. Have you seen haryanvi pahelwans? Most don't even consume non veg. Their diet is made of milk, ghee, almonds, yet they are robustly build. Protein consumption is overblown marketing tactic. You consume only what you need. Consumption doesn't mean absorption and retention. Consumption needs to be based on your individual need. Quote

You need to consume 1100+ calories worth of peanuts to get the same amount of protein you get by consuming 300-400 calories of chicken. Peanuts is an efficient source of protein. Ofcourse chicken is protein source too. Dietary preferences can be customized based on individual needs. Not everyone needs to consume same everyday. Quote

To get enough protein from peanuts for a 80kg individual you need to consume 1100 calories of peanuts ,noone would be eating that much. Whereas for chicken 200 grams or 400-450 calories would be enough. Quote

Even among wrestlers globally haryanvi ones don't consume meat unlike Persian, Pakistani and Western ones, yet they're built well and not inferior. All I'm trying to say is you don't need to consume protein only from non veg sources, even if you did you don't need to have the same benchmarks to standardize it. Diets can be customized and tailored to individual needs. Quote

You can get protein from veg sources but the it's very inefficient on per calories basis non-vegetarian foods give more protein than vegetarian. Quote

All I am saying is some people are depriving common citizens of their protein requirement by going with these vegetarian propaganda, being a vegan in developed countries with disposable income is different. Even the government is not subsidising meat to push their vegetarian propaganda, chicken costs the same in both U.S and india which is a joke. Quote
