Maa office lo older folks ask like that but they genuinely want to come to work and not for some brownie points. I asked reason once and the person said I have worked in this place for 25 years and this is like home for me and i have nothing to do at home if everyone is remote. Older person papam and office is his life I guess.

Mostly older folks don't have a good social life in US unlike in India.

Especially those that work in IT.

This would be my future if I stayed. Thats why I am going back to India after citizenship

I love social interaction. Love to go to office. But I am saving almost min 3 hrs in commute and winding off. I have better utilization of this time.
