After Knee surgery, you can't skid as that could pose issues. You can't sit on anything below 12-18 inches in height. No issues sitting or walking/sleeping. I don't think it is for athletes unless they position the leg correctly after each step. Quote

The problem is that they will have an imbalance in walking as the surgery leg could be a little taller and this imbalance can lead to back pain and other issues with posture. Also, some people don't want to go through the same pain again after experiencing everything once. Pain is probably just 20% higher in the first 1 week (both Knees Vs single) and they don't have to be in bed for longer periods. When the doctors gave us all these factors, we (and the doctors) decided to go for both legs simultaneously. 1 Quote
