With more "return to work" mandates, if you come up with an innovative idea/food and the location, it could be a good business. However, It's not a business for me to invest in. Too much dependent on people to run it. Just trying to get information from others if anyone is invested in these. If you are fashion about cooking and good at speaking with smile even they curs, have some savings and also someone there to support from family? Jump to find a better place. Timing is very important. There is always a competitor, it could be your friend. it’s all depend on how the food tastes. Our people trust mouth talk, something goes wrong it’s a mess. If you doing IT and eveng support mestri to help punugullu and bajji selling? forget about it. Quote

Looks like a new Food truck can be bought for 60-65k. What other expenses are involved? One time and recurring. Do you have to pay anything for the place where you station this? Any approvals needed for the location? Weekends if they are run good then you make 2-3K per night 1 Quote

I believe in thinking differently and staying ahead of times and less dependency on humans. Probably I will invest in the idea of robotic Dosa stalls, desi chai, mango lassi, and samosa, etc as menu items .. very much like the robotic coffee/tea stalls in malls these days. Quote

Cerysbrennan Posted March 25 Report Posted March 25 Yes, many people are investing in food truck businesses, and returns can vary depending on location, menu, and customer flow, but monthly profits of $5,000–$10,000 are possible with good management. Besides the truck cost ($60–65k), one-time expenses include kitchen equipment, branding, and permits. Recurring costs include food supplies, fuel, staff wages, maintenance, insurance, and marketing. You may need to pay rent or fees to park in busy spots, like food truck parks or private properties. Also, local health department and city permits are usually required for both the truck and the location. A good example of a food truck menu is the Double Sonic Smasher, which you can check here: https://sonicmenuspot.com/menu/double-sonic-smasher/. Quote
