Guest srikanth51 Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Yuva Rajyam president Pavan Kalyan on Sunday went literally underground. No, he did not disappear from public; he went into a cold mine near Mancherial to personally have the feel of what coal mining is all about. Wearing the fibre cap with an electric bulb, Pavan went inside along with coal miners to understand their difficulties. He told mediapersons later that coal mine workers were undergoing a lot of hardship, but the government was doing very little for their welfare. He demanded that the government give them income tax relief on the special wages they earn during the mining period. It is good that Pavan is doing what his brother Chiranjeevi is not able to do: going into the people and feeling their difficulties first hand.
