You cannot blame someone risking to buy a home rather than staying in apartment even after a decade with kids. Again, don't blame them for purchasing during the peak , it so coincided that most of them could afford or got money only during those times. It is very easy to say, don't buy during peak ( There is a reason why it is peak , because economy is great and everyone had money back then) .. A single earner living in a apartment for 10 years could for the first time think of buying house only during or post covid (Thanks to stocks and jobs paying well). Apart from few of those who bought it as investment, most of them are single earners living there. All the properties getting sold for less now are by these investment owners. Others who brought with meagre resources will hold on to them for long. They did not sacrifice for 4 hrs of commute just to sell at the first instance. When whole world is filled with ridiculous pompous house tours houses, it is cruel to blame someone buying a house for the first time and provide a decent house to his family. 1 1 Quote
