Uscis publishing new proposal rule to collect social media handles of aliens who entered US

USCIS just today announced that will require noncitizens to list their social media handles on forms when apply for immigration benefits, says is executing Trump exec order “Protecting the United States from Foreign Terrorists & Other National Security and Public Safety Threats”.

This is a big difference because previously this requirement was only applied to people seeking to enter the United States (DS-160 & Ds-260). Now they’re going to be asking people for their social media handles even if they’re already in the country and applying for a new benefit.

This document is unpublished. It is scheduled to be published on 03/05/2025 for comments.
