Tax cuts to billionaires and corporations

For USA:

In FY 2024, the federal government spent $6.75 trillion and collected $4.92 trillion in revenue, resulting in a deficit. The amount by which spending exceeds revenue, $1.83 trillion in 2024, is referred to as deficit spending.

Government revenue as defined in national accounts amounted to 2,012.9 billion euros.  The financial deficit (net borrowing) of general government amounted to 118.8 billion euros in 2024 according to provisional calculations.

So USA Fiscal deficit as a percentage of revenue is close to 37% whereas for Germany is only close to 6%. USA is literally bankrupt. 

 

DOGE cuts may reduce deficit by 50 to 100 billions which is not sufficient. Tariffs tax revenue is required to reduce deficit further. To extend the tax cuts for billionaires and corporations, tariffs are required. Unfortunately poor and middle class will suffer.

 

Democrats were bad but republicans are worst. Why didn't democrats repeal Trump tax cuts for billionaires because most of the democrats are multi-millionaires.

You should understand one simple thing. US debts are in US dollars. US can print US $. Nothing hinges US $. They can write off debt whenever they want or they can simply keep raising the debt ceiling. None can force US to pay back the debt.

Because it's reserve currency people will move back money into US $ in times of uncertainty which will only increase its value.
