No, it is more complicated than that. It is a combination of personal and business credit cards. I get bonus, hit the spend to get points and decide if it is worth keeping the card. I never leave a balance on any credit card. If you only pay the minimum balance you score will reduce. Never do that. I spend the balance on card using manufactured spending and accumulate points or convert it into cash. It is complicated to explain in simple words.
