Yes. Hence, he is trying to increase unemployment and decrease GDP. 

He will blame FED for low GDP. Eventually FED will pump money to stimulate economy through low interest rates.

The move is power play. Ideally it's aimed at the other countries to cut down tariffs. Modi Tatah already started bending. South Korea and others will follow the suit as well. 

Also, some  mfg. will be back to the US. within pharmaceutical space, Elite Lilly brought back two plants to the US. South Korean and Chinese firms are already in this process in the US as well. Expect auto manufacturing to increase assembly units in the US. 

Canada already bowed before so no new tariffs; and are screaming about existing tariffs in place.

Some short term disruption, but long-term money stays in the US.

Crypto was a money laundering aid from the very beginning. It's NEVER an alternative to Fiat.
