Movie is 80% fictional...yes, he fought against ourangajeb but there's too much cinematic liberties taken

not really they fought for their kingdom just like they did before.

every other kingdom is a foreign kingdom.

These kunbis or marathas support or worship shivaji or other kings cause they belong to same caste and kunbis form a huge portion of maharastra .

I don't know why telugu people are tearing their chaddis for them lol .especially telangana people.

After independence, We had an overdose of stories/movies/books on Muslim kings fighting against Britishers and love stories of Muslim kings, who married tens of women.. like Salim-anarkali (Jagangir), Jodha Akbar, Shahjahan-Mumtaj, etc etc. Tipu Sultan was glorified to a great extent.. he not only fought against the British, but also against the Marathas and Hyderabad nawabs.. 

now we are getting an overdose of the Hindu kings who fought against the Muslim kings..
