China is showing itself as super power with great infrastructure, etc but the truth is that its economy is not good. A year back all Chinese stocks were at 10+yr lows. Govt pumped money. They are playing poker with a very weak hand now due to TARRIFS. They do not know what to do with the inventory that is piling up. They are trying to make deals with other Asian countries and giving warnings to them not to deal with US. 
 

The act against India may be to destabilize, instigate riots and make US think twice about investing here.
