If you go by that then US is a back office of British empire for most of the time. So is Canada and still is. Canada is still a dominion. All the land is in the name of "crown". The armed forces, judiciary and even citizens pledge their loyalty to the "monarch" making Canadians mere subjects rather and by default can't make any claims.

I don’t want to argue with you as fellow canadian. Yes these facts are constitutional and to a degree I agree somewhat with their emotions but don’t you think getting angry about this and want to succeed is taking things too far.

They always make sure they win provincial elections , it’s not possible to impact the federal election by mere size logic and MP seats .Math is not mathing

And I hope the oil industry goes bust and they stay with canada 🇨🇦 😁

Bold: NO. Infact, the MP riding allocations are unfairly distributed across provinces without regard to population. By and large, Prairies get a raw deal here compared to East. The election is already decided by East by the time Prairies go to election.

Now, elections have NO integrity. It's been like that for a long time now. I have seen it myself all the way from 2015. That's a different story though.

Even if Oil industry goes bust, I don't think Albertans will back off. They have a streak of feeling independent and being individualistic, which I think traces back to their stock. That's what they have in common in the US.

Also, Canada as such is a disjoint family. A lot of trade in Canada happens in a North-South flow as opposed to East-west. In Alberta's case it's even more. No wonder they want to secede.

I agree with the trade part , hope carney brings stability with inter province trade and east get new pipelines . I am not against your point completely but my moral obligation is that albertans freedom should not be = pumping oil and conservatism/maga bull s$$. They can live whatever cowboy life they want no one’s asking them to be woke . There is absolutely no reason to fight and create divison.
