1 KM in countries like India makes sense. The density of population will be higher within the core city...so per peak hour 300-500 passengers vundadam common ae per kilometer..more stops, more riders, more feasibility..

The thing is, infrastructure costs. expensive metro ni dense corridors nundi velthe ne kada more ridership vundedi...infra costs recover avalante thappadu...
