tables Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 I know a student in our neighbourhood (not desi) who completed undergrad in UC berkeley and got a job in amazon as data engineer. I also see many students back in hyd from decent colleges like griet/vnr/cbit etc also joining amazon. so what is the difference? Quote
Hitman Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 Can you post the position details for both UCBerkley guy and Desi guy? Quote
ChanceCoffeeLover Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 CS degree is one of the degree where the school/college does not matter. For your first job, all you need is: Object Oriented Programming Data Structures & Algorithms System Design After the first job, your experience matters rather than where you received your degree. 1 Quote
Konebhar6 Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 In US university does not matter after first job. It’s mostly talent and skills that takes you higher position. However degree and university matters for C level posts. In India, Foreign degrees can fetch you higher positions right away. Kids these days are studying under grad in US coz they have means (money) and US is still a craze. University is a big brand name. Quote

It's just for the experience of living in u.s. Quote
