Spanish people are white ,hispanics mostly refers to Spanish speaking people ,they can be white or not white.

Spanish people colonised parts of south and north america ,that's the reason spanish is spoken in Mexico and south America , many people are mix of indigenous plus spanish (European ).

Hispanics isn't a race it just means someone speaking Spanish.

My contention is if the person doesn’t tell you if he is hispanic or spainard, is there a visible difference between white hispanics and spainards?

No ,there isn't.

even some indians especially few north indians might look like southern and eastern Europeans ,but they are fully indian by blood so determining ancestry just by looks alone is not possible unless they conduct dna test or trace back ancestry with family tree it's impossible to say.

If you have enough experience you can roughly guess ancestry based on their looks but it won't be accurate always as many phenotypes overlap.

Like southern Europeans  have long and slender faces with long noses and upper eye lid exposure usually compared to north western Europeans with compact and boxy faces ,shorter noses ,well set eyes with less upper eyelid exposure etc... of course and the coloring would be different .

According to me Hispanics are pretty assimilated. Same faith and same family values but they are also discriminated against. 
 

How much ever we try to assimilate or try to be like them they will always see us different from them.

It's the Latin American migrants  who get discriminated against because they come from poor countries and many of them commit crime or involved in drug cartels ,many people in Texas ,new mexico and california have hispanic ancestry .they are the majority population in those states ,infact most of them are natives and not migrants and they don't face any discrimination ,it's mostly the illegal migrants working as blue collar workers and live in ghettos who get discriminated against.

It's because they feel like current america is founded on white principles and rest are foreigners.

Also they don't consider most hispanic migrants from south america  as white even if they look white as they have significant indigenous ancestry
