Came through Abbradabraa POE recently

Man….Those POE officers are in real frustration. They are even yelling at applicants.

In my case, the POE officer was a 45 year old lady. She was speaking to me in a low voice. She was behind the glass counter. She was inaudible few times.
When I asked her to repeat the question.

She snapped at me. She was pissed.
Her response was “how did you survive in United States without knowing English??? Ladyyyy….Wtfffff….

She didn’t care.  I was very polite when I asked her to repeat the question.

They were doing the same with all applicants in one way or another. I could sense their frustration with everyone. I don’t think it was specific.

I could be wrong. But they are getting very annoyed with all the Indian parents coming on visiting visas and not being to able to answer anything at POE. They are literally reading letters and letting those b1/b2 visitors in.

80% of passengers in my flight were also Indian parents. They were visiting their kids here in USA.

It’s not that it is parents fault that they can’t speak English.

But the officer’s job at POE is a joke now. They are literally reading letters for the most part.

Anyways, this is an unprecedented situation.

The hatred against Indians is real. I never had this kind of experience at POoEee ever.

It’s a total shitttt show at this abradabra pre clearance facility. Avoid it if you can. My 2 cents.

I visited few places recently and and i could sense its not the same as it used to be..hotels, public places, airline staff, etc appear to be not so pleasant with everyone…although it least bothers me bur its not the same society..

I noticed it too while traveling, part of it could be less patience everywhere, people are easily getting frustrated and overwhelmed and on top of it there is a general anti immigrant sentiment that just amplifies the feelings even with minor inconveniences

also noticed less smiles and politeness in general, few years back, people used to be so polite and now its actually rare, no smiles in service sector, short responses and usually lack of enthusiasm while serving in restaurants

Blame inflation and the state of economy today….double sided impact with dems opening floodgates in gobba’s term and reps first tax cuts…combine these two with corporate greed.

Basically its the govt anthe…everyone is living paycheck to paycheck and no one is able to afford anything…almost all the public holiday spots are reporting less than usual sightings for this summer

Of course Anna. My exact verbiage was

I’m sorry officer. Your voice is slightly inaudible. Can you please kindly repeat that question. I even said that with a smile on my face.

I’m very familiar with POE etiquette Anna. She was definitely in a mood right away. She didn’t even respond to my hello. It all seemed like a staged play to vent out her frustration.

The apicers at other counters were no saints either. The whole ambience of that POE looked like a war room.

I agree with this part. Our India based b1/b2 visitors can atleast say hello with a smile. Rather than just handing over the document and staring at them with all nervousness on their face.

Even then this admin is really something. We can’t say for sure that this mantra will work either.
