Already big companies are doing mass audits. There is an under current operation going on. They will slowly let non-critical H1Bs to be laid off. They would rather outsource a job slowly to India. It’s more profitable and less risky from multi fold stand point. 
 

At this moment, hiring and sustaining H1Bs is a bigger headache politically and financially. They will play it safe. They will lay off H1Bs and just outsource the job it to India or other 3rd world country.

L1 and b1 visa will be used if needed. Have seen people coming here on b1 on short assignments.

The prime benefit of H1B is the margin they make for on shore resources. If everything is outsourced the margin is not sustainable. They would still need at least few client facing guys. Kotha applications tagginchi, paatha vallani retain chese chances ekkuva anukuntunna with this wage concept. Next year lottery chances are less if this flies.

Average American is not concerned about future inflows.
 

They strongly demand currents H1Bs to be gone…They are tired of watching us living in big mansions and driving teslas. It’s a fact. 

I don’t think they can kick out every H1. That’s practically impossible. Big number will still survive this fiasco. 
 

But they will reduce the headcount by a significant number. Dropbox elimination is first step in that pursuit. Everything is calculated. They are just giving some time for companies to adjust to this paradigm. Big companies are already working on it. It’s literally impossible to find a job with h1b sponsorship now. Cutting down H1b is  a gradual process.
