It's not a government contract. Here Singapore govt. was supposed to act as a facilitator. The contract was signed between Andhra government and Singapore consortium companies. Andhulone Manavallu, Eshwaran, andharu untaru laundering gatra chestharu. But such things won't happen without some high level understanding in Singapore government. Aa karyakramam chakkabettatanike Eshwaran, who was the trade minister.  Aa Eshwaran ippudu Baboru British vallatho fight chesina rojullo, ekkadaithe British vallu Baboru ni pettaro akkada unnadu ani @A1startarak briefed me.

Had a good meeting with Andhra Pradesh (AP) Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu this morning. AP is one of India’s fastest-growing states, with strong potential in sectors such as agri-food, manufacturing, and renewable energy. Singapore companies like Food Empire and Evervolt are already present in the state and are looking to deepen their investments and expand operations.  We had a good discussion on opportunities for investments and partnerships in sectors such as ports, green energy, digital technologies, and skills.

During Mr Naidu’s first term in 2014 – 2019, Singapore supported AP in developing its capital city, Amaravati, providing a masterplan, expert exchanges, and capacity building.  Singapore companies also won a Swiss Challenge tender to develop a start-up area in Amaravati. However, this cooperation ceased when a new government took over in 2019. The Singapore consortium also exited the Amaravati project.

Today, Chief Minister and I agreed to explore anew, partnerships with the state. Although the Singapore consortium will not be reconstituted, Singapore will continue to support the development of AP and Amaravati through technical cooperation in urban development and working together with partners like World Bank.

I wish the Chief Minister and his team a fruitful visit to Singapore.

Good riddance. Singapore consortium clauses lo asalu Indian courts ki jurisdiction ee ledhu. If I recall correctly cases need to be settled in London, UK.

No current investment plans in A.P., says SJ Group

Surbana Jurong (SJ Group), a global urban infrastructure and services consulting firm, has clarified that it is not an investor in Andhra Pradesh.

In response to a news report published in these columns on the basis of a government press release dated July 27, SJ Group said, “We are not an investor, and there are no current investment plans in the State.”

It said that their recent meetings with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his delegation in Singapore focused on knowledge-sharing and SJ’s expertise in areas such as urban planning and housing.
