Mari em emo jargindho...rip, Om Shanti. Strength to the families and may the Lord be kind to the little ones affected by this tragedy. ❤️🩹💚🩵💙 I swim in rivers. Didn't swim in US rivers but did swim in Canadian and Indian rivers (Krishna, Godavari, and their Canals and tributaries) sometimes after being slightly drunk too. While swimming in a river is tougher than a pool, it's only if you're swimming upstream and across the river. Downstream is relatively way easier as you're pushed by the current. Anyone who can swim in pools, can swim downstream without much effort (unless there is a whirlpool). You will very rarely drown(only if you're exhausted) if you know how to swim Quote

Pool is still water. If you can swim well in a pool, you can manage well downstream in a river. Bold: That's beginner level. I understand your concern. 1 Quote

Depth doesn't matter. Any depth above your height plus 1/2-1 foot can simply drown you if you don't know how to swim. Doesn't matter if it's the lake superior or a Swimming pool If you know how to swim, you can survive but the extent will depend on factors like water temperature, current, exhaustion. 3 Quote
