B. Valid Signature

A valid signature consists of any handwritten mark or sign made by a person to signify the following:

When determining whether a signature is acceptable, officers should review any applicable regulations, form instructions, and policy to ensure that the signature on a particular benefit request is proper. USCIS does not accept signatures created by a typewriter, word processor, stamp, auto-pen, or similar device.

For benefit requests filed electronically as permitted by form instructions, USCIS accepts signatures in an electronic format. Benefit requestors must follow the instructions provided to properly sign electronically.^[6]

Many employers didn't feel the need to keep the originals after they scanned the documents (scanned copies were kept). Now USCIS is issuing NOIDs left and right asking to produce the originals. Those who destroyed the originals are unable to produce the signatures in exactly the same way as scanned. Those cases are being denied - several hundreds.

G-28 was always wet signature, they used to ask us sign by pen and send it to the attorney to submit to USCIS. Recently due to covid they have accepted Docu-sign etc. It seems they are re-verting  back and wont have any issues for us. It just adds 2 more days for the process
