See, that's the thing. This is never about benefitting Indian public to begin with. 

When petrol prices go up.

BJP/Congress govt response : Crude prices went up, so we have no choice.

When crude prices go down:

BJP/Congress govt. response : wait and watch. Some relief when elections are around corner. 

70 paise of every 1 rupee petrol is taxes. Then you pay 28% (luxury) GST for every car purchase, on top of that 1-22% compensatory CESS (centre collects this because states are loosing revenue from GST, so to compensate them, with conditions apply), then road tax. All in all you will pay about 35% extra of the sticker price. 

In the end government India rear ends middle class with this always

Ambani is an Indian and serving oil to Indian market...that automatically makes India buying it. Companies like att and tmobile r ready to sell Huawei phones, but cant due to ban by the US govt. similarly, India can put a ban on Russian oil, but not. Tax revenues from this oil trade goes to govt. of India...simple

Than govt. can put a ban, but they are not putting it...means govt wants it...whats there to not understand? The tax revenues shall be paid by ambani to govt...its not like he alone is benefitting from it.

Do you really expect Trump to do a complete fact check before he comments ? He does so in a macro environment and he is fed with such information. For Ambani, it’sa business deal. Not just Ambani, Nayara Energy is also another stake holder here. 
 

Its not a blame, its political criticism. There is no sanction on Russian Oil and we have only helped to keep the process stable. Things are being used to counter another deal and this is used as a pressure tactic.
