There are plenty of ways to generate additional income. The trick is to pick the one that fits your profile, mindset and time availability. A lot depends on the cash you are ready to risk

Money-intensive but less daily involvement

Laundry Mart, pooling money and buying strip malls/rental apartments.

Low/No upfront cash

Real estate broker. Easy to crack the exam and no investment. Do deals at least prices initially, get word-of-mouth publicity, and increase a little later.

Financial Knowledge and discipline

Stocks. If you do not have enough knowledge, buy dividend ETFs and other ETFs and do SIP. Add more money in market weakness.

Passion for Food - Restaurants & Groceries

If you have a passion for food and people like the food you cook, get into the restaurant business or a cloud kitchen. Do some basic ground assessment of the demographics and people around you, and start. It's capital/labor and time-intensive.

If you want it to be easy, take a franchise for Subway, Chipotle, McD, etc. I do not know if everyone offers these, but its worth checking out.

Groceries seem like a very profitable business. Unfortunately, a lot of them resort to fraudulent practices.

General Business

Liquor stores and gas stations are very profitable if you manage rather than depend on an employee.

You are becoming as good as ChatGPT 😁😁

Falls under the Real-Estate broker category. Most people do both. A close friend of mine did a RE broker 3 yrs back and gets decent money now in spite of his IT work. Spends little time on work as most of his clients are desis and they do all research and they give a lot of cash back to them. Makes anywhere between 30-50k per year on this.

Side income.

He plans to become a mortgage broker as well
