Nadella Bhaskar rao has been a congressmen his entire life but he was disgruntled when a illiterate man like anjaih ordered him around.

 TDP ground work was laid down by congressmen who were disgruntled with centre meddling in their party got out of the party and wanted to have a party like in T.N where they dont have to run to centre for everything  . He mentions the main people are him , bezawada papi reddy(son of ex-cm) and chakradhar.

He says he used to like working with Chenna reddy and he is the most qualified man for cm out of all the cms till date.

Indira Gandhi doesn't like strong leaders and always tried to being them down so she drove a wedge between senior leaders like Nadella Bhaskar rao and Chenna reddy to weaken his support by pretending to be close with Bhaskar rao like going to his house instead of the cms Chenna reddies house when she visited hyderabad.

Neelam sajeev reddy , kasu brahmananda reddy ,chenna reddy were strong leaders who had genuine support from the party and were hated by Indira Gandhi as she doesn't like group politics like any party head.

Whereas neduramalli janardhan reddy ,bhavanam venkataram reddy ,anjaih and other cms were all appointed by Indira Gandhi under loyalty or caste/region quota.

When Indira Gandhi was expelled our of the party by brahmananda reddy ,chenna reddy was then a governer who resigned and wanted to start his own party along with karnataka cm devaraj urs but Nadella Bhaskar rao objected them and told them that Indira Gandhi had a lot of sympathy after she got expelled and she would easily win now so we should go to her and they went to Indira Gandhi to start the congress party which has continued till date .

Even the symbol of congress was decided when they went to some peeta adipathi in kanchi for blessings and he blessed them with his hand which they made into a symbol of the party.

He wanted bejawada papi reddy to be president but he rejected and when he was searching for members ,ntr came to know about the new party ,met him and asked bhaskar rao to make him the president to which bhaskar rao told he can't decide on his own but has to discuss with other people but ntr  convinced him by saying his cine glamour can being the votes and as he doesn't know anything about politics he will leave the administration to other party members.

He also mentioned that TDP ran smoothly for 3 months and after that ramoji rao and then cbn started influencing government policies by isolating ntr from party founders and all the policies they took were utter flop and brought bad name to the government

What is interesting is the case of leaders who lost out on cm seat narrowly . BV Subba Reddy of Kurnool was one such leader who could have become cm and even served as deputy cm , only to be overpowered by pv narasimha rao , as Indira wanted a cm from Telangana . Nukala Ramachandra Reddy of Warangal was also tipped to become CM but missed out to Jalagam Vengal Rao .

DK Samarasimha Reddy was considered de facto CM during Chenna Reddy 1989 tenure , but he and Patlolla Ramachandra Reddy of Sangareddy lost out to Nedurumalli Janardhan Reddy in the CM race .

In more recent times , Kunduru Jana Reddy lost out to Kiran Kumar Reddy in 2010 . In fact , everybody expected Jana Reddy to become CM . Telangana reddy leaders had many stalwarts who lost out to internal rivalry to Seema / Nellore reddy leaders .

neduramalli janardhan reddy is very close to Indira Gandhi and was a loyalist to her ,although politically he wasn't that significant.

I am thinking after kasu brahmananda reddy episode she was reluctant to give cm seat to strong and capable leaders instead she only wanted cms who won't cause any internal troubles.

She had to compromise with mari channa reddy even though he was a strong leader as he was with Indira Gandhi since modern day inc was established and had a lot of support plus he is from telangana .

And the other strong leader was YSR to whom congress had to comprise for since there was noone else with the same popularity as him.

Marri Chenna Reddy was a really formidable leader . He was a mass leader , in fact Indira was forced to give CM seat to him . He came from the Gudati sect of Reddys , and was the first telugu leader to not only head , but also lead to victory a regional party . His TPS , precursor of TRS , was a formidable political entity back in the day . TPS had swept most parts of Telangana including Khammam and Hyderabad , something even TRS would find challenging . He had unbelievable hold over Telangana . The 1969 agitation had a famous slogan " Ravoyi Ravoyi Marri Chenna Reddy , Nee Kosame eduru Chesthunnam Marri Chenna Reddy " .

He was a doctor , progressive and pro capital leader , credited with industrial developments around Hyderabad . His bad luck was that he was in Indira era and United AP overpowered Telangana . The 1969 agitation is a mass agitation in the truest sense , 2009 10 pales in comparison to it .

He also claims that p.v Narasimha Rao is a dirty politician and the reason congress got to the dire state is because of pvnr pulling strings.

Weak and incapable cm candidates like anjaih , bhavanam venkataram reddy were proposed by him ,he says it's because even though Indira Gandhi always looked after him well he had had vengeance on the party for removing him as C.M even though he was only removed because he acted like a coward during jai andhra agitation and refused to go to andhra to defuse the situation when kaakani Venkataramana died.

Pv hit a jackpot to become cm .  PV even sidelined Nukala Ramachandra Reddy , his political mentor who identified him and made him a minister with high command pressure in favour of Jalagam Vengal Rao  . Nukala could have been the much deserved candidate after Kasu .

 

There was BV Subba Reddy who was considered the next in line to CM throne , and Indira Gandhi tried to remote control AP politics . The unintended consequence of their short sightedness is the creation of a political vacuum in AP . The inc has rightfully been consigned to history in ap . Telangana , congress are lucky to have survived and still thriving .
