[For India Stamping Only] To those stuck in the stamping limbo in India

If you’ve been stuck in H 1B stamping limbo since Fall 2025, escalate to India’s MEA:

OR want to express solidarity with Indians stuck in the stamping limbo:

Please escalate this to India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) by email and on X. The goal is for MEA to document the scale of harm and raise it through diplomatic channels.

Why this matters:

This is not just an inconvenience.

Families have been separated for months and sometimes years. People have uprooted housing and schooling. Jobs are at risk because employers cannot wait indefinitely. Many are dealing with serious financial and emotional strain.

### What to do ###

  1. Email MEA with a short, factual grievance

  2. Post the same message on X and tag MEA accounts

  3. Encourage others impacted to do the same. Volume matters.

### Copy paste email ###

PLEASE personalize the subject and email, add your own human touch and problems, so that their inbox doesn't mark it as spam

**Subject:** Urgent: H 1B stamping appointment delays impacting Indian nationals (Fall 2025 to 2027)

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to raise a grievance regarding prolonged H 1B visa stamping appointment delays affecting Indian nationals. Many have been stranded in India since Fall 2025, with no clear appointment visibility even into 2027.

This has caused severe harm including family separation, loss of assets in US, financial losses, and job insecurity. Please take cognizance of this issue and raise it through appropriate diplomatic channels. Kindly share any guidance on relief measures or timelines.

Sincerely,

[Name]

[Phone or email]

Many Indian nationals have been stranded in India since Fall 2025 due to H 1B stamping appointment delays, with some seeing no availability into 2027. Families separated, jobs at risk, lives uprooted. Requesting urgent attention and escalation. @CPVIndia @MEAIndia @meaMADAD

H1B appointment availability in countries other than India

Trying to get some insight into the situation. Has USCIS stopped releasing new slots just in India or other countries too? Is there anyone here who has booked a new appointment in the last few weeks? (could be an appointment for any date later this year)

Few replies

Oman had slots 2 weeks out when I went. No reschedules as far as I heard - Not part of the travel ban/restricted.Seems like its an India only problem because of the sheer volume of applicants

my husband had an H4 consular interview in Shanghai, in the line with him there were many H1B folks. the slots were open and available within 10 days of inquiry. calendar is pretty open still.

Dubai has appointments as early as next week. I moved my appointment from India to Dubai (resident there since 2016). Much better experience overall lol
