H1 transfers are not happening after september 21st

I got this response" We are pausing all sponsorship activities for H-1B candidates, including transfers. While the proclamation does not directly affect individuals holding a valid visa, the potential impact on transfers remains uncertain. We are awaiting further guidance from our immigration counsel before making any decisions"

I signed Offer letter on september 22nd and it is in hold due to H1 transfer. I have 2 months to find a job now (my current company is closing their operations) and I am feeling doomed. I am from Electrical/ Control Engineering background and have been in H1 for almost 8 years with I-140 approved.

Ofcourse lots of employers will wait for few days. USCIS nundi clarity vachina, some employers will stay away from H1 hiring all together....I'm already seeing this in my company...sudden ga last few days lo maa job portals lo NO OPT's and NO H1's ani mention chesthunnaru.

My company is reevaluating all H1Bs holders. Apparently they are planning to reduce the H1B headcount. The plan is to keep only the very essential ones. 

I don’t know if this plan will eventually wither way or if they will really follow through with the plan. Only time will answer. Everybody is feeling the heat at my company for sure 
 

But last week news really striked a chord with many employers. It’s a fact.

Is yours a big company we use everyday? Heard same from a manager friend in AMZN. Starter positions ki they asked to look for ppl who will not need sponsorship in future. Experienced positions ki they are ok with transferring and keeping h1 for now but future telidu annaru.

How many employees in H1b category in that company?

I don’t know in totality. But just in our team we have around 20. Our team is pretty big. We have around 85 people. And they work on different domains.
 

You can say 1/4 in my company are H1Bs.
Majority of them are contractors though. 
 

rough estimate for the whole company is easily 400. Out of 3000 employees.

Very true. Open positions ki not considering H1B temporarily until clarity is provided.
