India was on  purpose made to be extremely reliant on imports for everything. Right from energy (>30% of its import share). Even Indian Oil reserves were purposefully suppressed to facilitate imports. Same with tech. Gave away Indian data, and it's sovereignty to US tech companies. Indian Governments kept devaluing currency on purpose every time to facilitate FDI inflow to allow greater access and control to Anglo Z10n1st entities, and sort of "enslaved" Indian public, to the point that delusional Tech workers in India are making statements on media that "THEIR FUTURE IS ROBBED" because of Trump's H1B fee hike.  Specifically in the middle class Telugu communities, particularly among urban agrarian castes, it's made a sort of generational aspiration.

Unless, domestic production and consumption are encouraged to the levels of self reliance, money will not stay in India.
