Why would their employment start date begin prior to Oct1,2026? This is specifically to prevent unemployed non-immigrant lavangams from abusing B visas, to force them out of the country first, then require them to pay 100k in case they find new employer to transfer their H1b. yeah they are closing all loopholes. administration lo manchi desi gadini petti untaru who knew all these loopholes. 1 Quote

ErraBook_monagadu Posted September 26 Author Report Posted September 26 My interview was interrupted today because of the recent H-1B visa regulations. During the interview, the interviewer told me that they had to pause the process due to this policy change. Quote
ErraBook_monagadu Posted September 26 Author Report Posted September 26 Unfortunately, this would be the way forward. I am a lead engineer in one of the top 25 tech companies and we have been informed that all the applications in process that require h1b sponsorship have to be discarded at this point. Quote
ErraBook_monagadu Posted September 26 Author Report Posted September 26 2 interviews cancelled for me bro Quote
ErraBook_monagadu Posted September 26 Author Report Posted September 26 I had a call while this was going on and a scheduled interview for today which didn't go through. I was so sure it was going to work out, however, eventually received a call back saying the application is perfect but on hold because they are waiting to see the outcome for Change of status Visas. Step up your game. it seems you are already on track. Wish you Good luck. Quote
ErraBook_monagadu Posted September 26 Author Report Posted September 26 My spouse was on h1b (cap exempt), he lost his job and since I'm also on cap exempt h1b,we filed for his h4. However, it's been 8 months, it's still pending. He recently got an offer and they are ready to sponsor h1b(cap exempt). Initially the idea was to do consular processing, however after the 100000k executive order, the university is mentioning that rule applies to every kind of h1b. Is it possible to change status from h4 to h1b within US even when the h4 case is pending? Quote
ErraBook_monagadu Posted September 26 Author Report Posted September 26 I’m currently on OPT and all of my interviews have been paused. Just wanted to let others on OPT know about this. These are big companies Quote
ErraBook_monagadu Posted September 26 Author Report Posted September 26 “It literally means that international student hiring has been suspended.” Quote
ErraBook_monagadu Posted September 26 Author Report Posted September 26 Facing the same scenario, few startups stopped responding in between the loop rounds, no response. Few straight away, say we aren't sure about hiring international students at this time. Quote
ErraBook_monagadu Posted September 26 Author Report Posted September 26 I had a screening call for an amazing role and it went pretty well. Received a rejection email, found out from an employee that they are rejecting all international students. This company has a great history in sponsoring H1-B and taking OPT candidates. I am so **.
