Dems were much in favor of legal immigration too. I agree that their first priority is obviously illegals. However, guess who made a law on stem opt, h4 ead? Also, under Dems admin everyone gets straight 3 years approval for h1.

That’s the irony. Dems used to be against any immigration because of trade unions and labor. Conservatives used to be pro-immigration. Ronald Regan gave pathway to citizenship for  5 million illegals in 80s. Bush senior introduced the H1B and increased green card quota for family and employment based and added diversity quota. Now they switched.
