think you are in good spot bro...lot better than many here....6 months is recommended at the very least if you are on H1B but in this market one year back up is advisable if you can get there.

That's pretty good. Start investing in QQQ and SPY. You should get a good entry point this quarter. Whenever markets drop 5-10%, add SPY and QQQ.

It's one life you have. Owning a home and raising a family in it is a dream shared by many. Change your attitude. If you have more expenses, plan to make more money. Look deeply into your skill set and what you are good at, and put a plan to tap those skills to make money.

Correction buying a "MORTGAGE".

one of my office collegue said his uncle told him do not buy house on h1

looks like if one have money they can buy house other wise its useless pressure n value with interest rates is useless

n nobody knows what happens in 20 years n especially with h1 question

I'm the second person to come here from my 10s of 1st and 2nd cousins. I advised one of my first cousin to buy a home only after EAD or GC in sight. He mistook my advice got offended, stopped talking to me. As his luck would have it, he went all out into a major startup, earned well and got a million dollar home comfortable while still on H1B.

Aina asaram ga nenu yedhava ni ayya. That's one regret. However, his company just informed him to be prepared to go to Bangalore given the H1 uncertainty.

God is great.

Never advise anyone. 😅

They dream to buy a home, but  after seeing monthly EMIs, property taxes and maintenance they realize they bought a mortgage. 😂😂
