Fed Gov shutdown lo IT federal contractors(GSA/HHS...) have to work with no pay? just like TSA or they are getting furloughed?

Most govt contractors are fixed budget and their budget already allocated… all my friends are working in IT fed contracts and no one complained about pay so far.. but that may change if shutdown continues for more than a month or two…

all federal agencies have some funding to cover essential employees during crisis like shutdowns… it’s non essential employees who lose the pay and get furloughed…
