Kavitha apologies for KCR's neglect of T'gana martyrs

Telangana Jagruthi founder-president Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who resigned from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in September following her suspension, on Saturday offered an apology to the martyrs of Telangana and their families for being neglected during the regime of her father, former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

“The very ideals and dreams for which they sacrificed their lives remain unfulfilled. Though 1,200 brave souls laid down their lives for Telangana, justice has reached only 580 families so far,” Kavitha said while paying tributes to the martyrs at Gun Park before starting her state-wide tour.

Kavitha said that the sacrifices of many martyrs had paved the way for the creation of Telangana.

“We must reflect on how far we have truly fulfilled the ideals for which they laid down their lives,” she added.

She recalled that during the previous regime, the government itself had admitted in the Assembly that 1,200 people were martyred for Telangana.

“However, the respect that should have been given to them and their families was never fully delivered,” she said.

Kavitha pointed out that although the government had promised ₹10 lakh and a government job to each martyr’s family, only 580 families have received support, leaving many others without justice.

She also acknowledged her own role, saying that while she wasn’t a minister during the BRS government’s 10-year rule, she served as an MP and MLC and had pushed for financial assistance to be provided to martyr families during internal party discussions.

“Still, I feel I could have fought even harder for you. So today, with folded hands, I sincerely apologize to the martyrs and their families. They sacrificed their lives so that the people of Telangana could live with dignity and prosperity. I pledge to continue my fight until every martyr’s family receives ₹1 crore in compensation,” she said.

Kavitha also demanded that the present Congress government immediately sanction ₹1 crore to each martyr’s family.

“And if this government fails to do so, I promise, before the feet of the martyrs, that I will ensure justice for them — even if it means changing the government itself,” she declared

జూబ్లీహిల్స్ ఉపఎన్నిక బీఆర్ఎస్‌కు ఒకరకంగా ఫైనల్ పరీక్ష వంటిదని మహిళా కార్పొరేషన్ చైర్మన్ శోభారాణి సంచలన వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశారు. రాష్ట్రంలో బీఆర్ఎస్ పరిస్థితి రోజురోజుకూ దిగజారుతోందని, ఈ ఎన్నికతో ఆ పార్టీ భవిష్యత్తు తేలిపోతుందని అన్నారు. సోమవారం ఆమె ఆర్యవైశ్య కార్పొరేషన్ చైర్మన్ కాల్వ సుజాతతో కలిసి మీడియాతో మాట్లాడారు. బీఆర్ఎస్‌పై తీవ్ర స్థాయిలో విమర్శలు గుప్పించారు.

శోభారాణి మాట్లాడుతూ, "అసెంబ్లీ, పార్లమెంట్ ఎన్నికల్లో ప్రజలు బీఆర్ఎస్‌ను చావుదెబ్బ కొట్టారు. ఇప్పుడు ఆ నేతలు జూబ్లీహిల్స్‌లో సానుభూతి ఓట్ల కోసం డ్రామాలు ఆడుతున్నారు. దివంగత మాజీ ఎమ్మెల్యే మాగంటి గోపీనాథ్ భార్య సునీత ఇంకా ఆ బాధ నుంచి తేరుకోకముందే, ఆమెను బలవంతంగా ఎన్నికల బరిలోకి దించి రాజకీయ లబ్ధి పొందాలని చూస్తున్నారు. పదేళ్ల పాలనలో ప్రజలను పట్టించుకోని బీఆర్ఎస్‌కు ఓటమి తప్పదు" అని విమర్శించారు. గతంలో పీజేఆర్ కుటుంబ సభ్యులు కేసీఆర్ అపాయింట్‌మెంట్ కోసం గంటల తరబడి ఎదురుచూసిన విషయాన్ని ఆమె గుర్తుచేశారు.

బీఆర్ఎస్‌లో మహిళలకు ఏమాత్రం గౌరవం లేదని శోభారాణి ఆరోపించారు. "పదేళ్లలో ఏ మహిళకు సరైన పదవి, ప్రాధాన్యత ఇవ్వలేదు. సొంత ఇంటి ఆడబిడ్డ కవితనే ఇంటి నుంచి గెంటివేసినప్పుడే ఆ పార్టీలో మహిళల పరిస్థితి ఏంటో అర్థమవుతోంది. కేవలం రాజకీయాల కోసమే బీఆర్ఎస్ నాటకాలు ఆడుతోంది" అని ఆమె మండిపడ్డారు.

అనంతరం ఆర్యవైశ్య కార్పొరేషన్ చైర్మన్ కాల్వ సుజాత మాట్లాడుతూ, రాష్ట్రమంతా జూబ్లీహిల్స్ వైపు చూస్తోందన్నారు. "కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ ఒక బీసీ బిడ్డకు అవకాశం ఇస్తే, బీఆర్ఎస్ మాత్రం 22 కేసులు, పీడీ యాక్ట్ ఉన్న సల్మాన్ ఖాన్‌ను పార్టీలో ఎలా చేర్చుకుంది? తెలంగాణలో బీఆర్ఎస్ ఉనికి కోల్పోయి నాలుగు ముక్కలాటగా మిగిలిపోయింది" అని ఎద్దేవా చేశారు. గత ప్రభుత్వంలో జరిగిన అవినీతిని కవిత మాటలే బయటపెట్టాయని అన్నారు. రాజకీయాలతో సంబంధం లేని మాగంటి సునీతను బలవంతంగా బరిలోకి దించి ఆమె పరువు తీస్తున్నారని సుజాత ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు.
