There are different group of entrants at different times. First batch came around WW-1, then second one after WW-2. Third one after backlash from Delhi public after Indiras assassination. The first two batches really went through tough times. The British navy which was at that time patrolling Indian shores did not allow Sikhs to come back to India as their ships were not identified.. after disastrous war effects .. only Canada gave them asylum. And then after Indira's assassination large swathes came to Canada using all routes.. but as everyone knows, in last 20 years where ever Indians went, they all did due to pure personal and economic benefits Quote
