Severance depends on companies. Many companies dont pay decent severance.

In addition to that Medical Insurance and cars are a must in US. In India, you can get quality treatments for cheap and can use public transport in cities. There are many decent apartments where rents are less than 10k for a family in Hyderabad. In US you will have to settle for a crime ridden area if you want cheaper rent. In addition to that its illegal if you dont have separate bedroom for kids....schools will check.

 

In short, when you land in trouble, hou can take a step back while you rebuild in India. Not possible in US.

That applies to denaturalising citizens. GC is much much better than h1, that’s why people thinking to go back. Incase if someone gets GC in one or two years why they will leave? GC is peace if mind unless you want to do something stupid.
